Sunshine Coast FC started with one Under 10 age group team in the Awka Saturday Youth Football League in 2001/02. Following on from their success more age group teams have gradually been added. This coming season, 2010/11, the club will have a Youth team playing in the Southern Youth League, three teams playing in the Tandridge League and three teams playing in the Awka Saturday Youth Football League.

The Sunshine age group teams have all been high achieving to date winning or being runners up in eighty-six League and Cup competitions in their first nine seasons.

The ethos of the club is simple: to have fun and develop individually and collectively as footballers within a group dynamic, playing good football with good technique and with consideration and respect for those you are playing with and against.
